DESCRIPTION
Due to the limited space on small ROVs, an ultra small imaging sonar is needed as its collision avoidance sonar. This ultra small imaging sonar has similar characteristics to the SeaKing series sonar and is more compact in size. The Micron sonar is currently the world's smallest digital CHIRP two-dimensional collision avoidance sonar, setting a new standard for compact imaging sonar technology. CHIRP technology greatly improves the distance resolution of sonar, which is only achievable by large and expensive systems in traditional sonar.
If we want to fully unleash the potential of the new generation of small, low-cost ROVs, it is necessary to equip them with some key tools and sensors that are usually installed on large ROVs. The Micron sonar utilizes the latest surface mount electronics and a variety of software features typically only found in full-size commercial systems.
Micron sonar integrates world-class SeaKing sonar and sonar design and manufacturing technology, utilizing the most advanced acoustic technology and software features available today. This sonar can be controlled through a computer via RS232 or RS485, and connected to other Tritech devices through auxiliary ports.
